Yeah, the pressed state + "loading" symbol came to my mind as well. Another alternative to the spinner would be a "power up charge" animation, you know the 📶 kinda thing

Or, I guess a pointing finger would work fine as well instead of an arrow :)

Good points, I did not yet try it on mobile. The item catching is something you learn quite quickly on your own after the tutorial, but it's a good thought that you could still teach the mechanic in the tutorial nonetheless.

I think it needs an animation. Either animate the button going down and staying there, or then add an arrow symbol on top of the button (pointing down) and have the arrow be animated going from up to down and then staying in the down position.

Tapping: have the arrow go up-down-up-down x times

The tutorial on this game is really clever. You learn the mechanics very quickly without it feeling like you're in a tutorial, and it does not break the gameplay flow at all.

Thanks for teaching me something new. (I like the game a lot as well!)

Haha, I loved the idea of a hat on the robodog but this really makes a great idea! The hat or attire it is wearing having an impact on it's personality would be so cool. Like, the player could discover all kinds of easter eggs when you put on different combinations on the dog.
