Easy to look at him a bit stronger tonight and think it’s easy decision to save him. It’s the life of a creature in the balance. I sat with him for an hour tonight and even though he’s tired and still battling I knew the decision was right. Come on Oreo you got this (7/7)

We managed to keep him alive and he got the transfusion. He lived in the oxygen tank days. He got a small bit better. But then he got worse. Another blood transfusion was needed. The bill was heading to $2000. Again I hesitated but after sleepless night went ahead (4/7)

There was only one hope for him. A full blood transfusion. Cost of about $700. For your own pet you’d do it in a second but it’s a street dog and resources are finite. He was as bad as I’ve seen a dog. I don’t mind saying in those 2 hours I hesitated (3/7)

This is Oreo. We’ve been battling to save his life for 9 days and tonight he has hope again. I hadn’t shared his story until now because I thought he’d die but he’s a fighter. Oreo is a great example of how hard the decisions can be but I think I got his one right (1/7)

6 days is all it took. Mainly… Wound not hurting as much Rusty being a great help Stella is only 8 months old. The inner puppy came out in her Treats, medicine, love and safety. Stella could just have run off. But she knew this was her place (7/7)

She still wouldn’t come near me obviously but after an hour I was able to coax her into a big fenced in area. That’s where she met Rusty. He is out big resident softy who lived his life on a chain. Stella loved him. Stella quickly started to come alive. (5/7)

It all started yesterday morning. When I arrived she had eaten her way out of her kennel. Couldn’t believe it. The tiniest hole but she got out through the wire. I panicked that she was gone for good. But I was stunned. She didn’t go anywhere. She wanted to stay around!!(4/7)

I had a whole video about her on Saturday explaining how long it would take. We had to keep her locked up and cleaning her wound was very tough. She didn’t like the world around her. It was going to take time. How completely wrong we were… (3/7)

Stella came in with string tied around her neck. The vets sedated her to get it off and we were keeping her in a kennel to slowly help her recover. We couldn’t touch her and she was still snappy. The wound started to heal up very fast with proper care (2/7)

This is the incredible story of how Stella improved so drastically in a week after coming in with her horrific injury. We thought it would take weeks or months to recover but she took matters into her own hands and had help from a very special new friend (1/7)
