Sincere thanks to @jamiewestndp.bsky.social, @heathermcpherson.bsky.social, @jameshasaface.bsky.social, Raymond Bhushan, Taras Natyshak and all of our guests for taking some time to learn about the important work Society members do everyday to reduce CO2 emissions and power our economic growth.
I want to thank Society of United Professionals Union President Rebecca Caron for arranging a NDP Tour of Bruce Nuclear Power.

I was joined by MP Heather McPherson, former Ontario NDP MPP Taras Natyshak, and James & Raymond from ONDY.

There's been a real generational shift in the debate on nuclear energy among progressives. Young progressives didn't grow up in the shadow of the Cold War, but in the shadow of catastrophic climate change we need nuclear to address. Massive electrification + great jobs = a brighter future for youth.
New in Perspectives: The Ontario NDP Must Invest in Public Nuclear Power

"The Ontario NDP needs to be bold in its vision for an electricity grid that powers economic growth and delivers affordable hydro to all Ontarians."

National Post and subsidiaries are American owned and totally onside.
CBC/ CTV are bending over backwards to be "fair" to Vichy Canada.
Wake up folks.

At this point, has Mark Carney made any decisions that Pierre Poilievre wouldn't? So far he's playing nice with Trump, promising massive cuts to federal programs so he can spike military spending, and passing multiple bills of dubious constitutionality.

An absolutely deplorable record so far.

I'm not an expert in education funding like @ricardotranjan.bsky.social, but with 2 kids in high school & one heading to university next year, I've got a PhD in the lived experience of how our school system fails our kids. Dismally depressing to know post-secondary is shaping up to be worse.

Seems clear Poilievre has given up on attracting new votes. A crackdown on universities that are too "woke" mimics Trump & clearly red meat for the base to gin up turnout. Never seen polling to suggest attacks on academic freedom will win undecideds.
