Bitcoin shines a spotlight on everything people don’t know about money combined with everything they don’t know about computers.

Gee, if only there was an asset that was protected from counterparty risk and entropy where investors could preserve their wealth instead of homes! Bitcoin, now the 5th largest asset in the world, solves this.

A respectable post Dad’s…but wait until they get frustrated and then out come the ad-hominem attacks (as evidenced in previous replies). 🙄

People like you have been telling me I’m wrong for WELL over a decade. 🤷‍♂️ OK then. You see my happy face on my profile pic?

Sorry, point of order. Trump is shilling a memecoin, not Bitcoin. And yes, it is despicable what he is doing.

2.
To discount it without taking an honest look would be a bad move, especially with a crazy man as the POTUS wrecking the economy. There is a lot of misunderstanding and misinfo out there…but look beneath the surface at its principals of scarceness and un-inflatability, it is beautifully honest.

Barbara, if you and I were to get to know each other, you’d find I’m no scoundrel. I have lots of friends and family who understand bitcoin who are not scoundrels either. Bitcoin is a lot like the internet back in 1995…people thought it was a joke but it changed the world. cont…

What an exhausting exchange with ad hominem thrown your way to boot. Me thinks the lady doth protest too much. Deep down, they think they missed the boat back when btc was “cheap”. And too stubborn to know that it’s still early but that’s for them to work out in time. Tick-tock, another block. 📈
April 26, 2025 at 1:23 AM
I would 100% take that offer!

Says a bank chairman with lots to lose by keeping things “status quo” 😂 It’s OK, Bitcoin will keep marching on despite what he thinks or says.

Bitcoin fights oligarchs by decentralizing wealth, bypassing central banks & govts. We rail against elites but back the Fiat dollar, empowering them. Bitcoin’s fixed supply & censorship resistance frees people from central control. Our cause aligns with Bitcoin, not Fiat.

Ah then, you’ve got bitcoin figured out better than the CEO of a successful technology company? You may want to rethink that premise.
April 25, 2025 at 3:14 AM
Brilliantly put.

I know many people in the “bitcoin” (not crypto) space who are honorable & upstanding humans. You’re painting with too broad of a brush. The reason they’re drawn to it? It’s the most honest form of money humans have EVER created. All transactions publicly auditable & you can’t inflate it like USD.

😂 you funny
April 25, 2025 at 3:01 AM
That’s OK, much like the internet was very new and foreign to most people, it became much clearer over time. Same with bitcoin. There’s lots of good info out there about it RIGHT NOW…go ask ChatGPT for instance.

Disgusting

Sure, block me to keep your insulative bubble intact. Good luck mate.

AGAIN, far more happens with cash.

Maybe you’re singularly insightful and the world’s most sophisticated investors, corporations, financial service institutions and asset managers, 100’s of millions of users, and even governments are all wrong.

Maybe.

What do you think, do you think that’s it?
April 23, 2025 at 9:57 PM
You are incorrect. Maybe crypto but not bitcoin. FAR more illicit activity happens with the good ol’ US dollar than bitcoin.

John, this will help bitcoin make sense:

Yes, one can mine more gold. Once the price reaches a threshold, gold miners go nuts mining more suppressing the price. There will only ever be 21 million bitcoins. It’s the first money humankind has invented that is truly finite and not inflatable. Don’t buy it straight away…study it first.

Why, was he unkind?
April 21, 2025 at 2:47 AM
Helping oppressed women in Africa save in hard money and you write it off laughingly as an edge case? Not what I was expecting. I don’t think you know what you’re talking about when it comes to bitcoin. But…you do you.

No practical use? There are many but one in particular stands out. Are you familiar with this saint’s work in Africa? @anitaposch.bsky.social
