Round 3 babies have not come up. It's only been 9 days but I am impatient. For Round 4 I am using plastic cups instead of cardboard, and I'm using a water vessel I KNOW is clean. How do grow herbs instead of mold???

For Round 2 I left the humidity dome off and pointed a fan at my seed babies to protect them from mold. I protected them too well and the dirt dried out, stopping the babies from germinating. A couple bergamot babies pulled through.

Enjoying some unorthodox gallo pinto. It's been 8 years of trying different recipes that I ruined each time, but I finally got it. The trick is to use day-old rice; it doesn't matter if you prepare it plain in a rice cooker or make Latin American-style rice by sautéing it first.
