My garden pond is up and running.
I haven’t decided if I want goldfish or minnows this year. The kids in the neighbourhood have started peeking in to see if the fish are out yet.
The water should be ready for fish next week.

And here’s the used filter showing the front and back at the same time.
I deserve clean air.
I deserve to be healthy.
So do you.

I will be sending this picture to anyone and everyone who asks me why I still mask.
This was a fresh clean filter before I started 2 days of gardening.
I deserve to breathe clean air.
So do you.

I’m behind on my podcast, overwhelmed by the news, drowning in housework I have not done, and depressed by the state of the world.
Here’s my bunny checking out the backyard for the first time ever.

In less than a month, I’ve gone from “this is too hard, I’ve made a horrible mistake” to owning a second knitting machine and making lace on it.
I’m using yarn from the back corners of my yarn stash. Gorgeous, expensive stuff I didn’t want to ruin.

On sticking with it when it’s harder than you thought, a thread.
On New Year’s Eve, I picked up a new to me, vintage (1950s) flatbed knitting machine. It was a great find at a great price in great condition. I’d been researching knitting machines and watching videos on machine knitting.

He’s so fluffy!! 🥰
He does have a little bald patch on the back of his neck.
The vet had to trim a few mats off his thick, downy fur.
However, I have already determined that his fur is spinnable, so I will be keeping all his brushings to make yarn. 😆

Our sweet boy is acclimating to his new home.
He’s literally double the size we were expecting. We were told he was 2.5lbs. He is, in fact, 2.5 KG!!
But he has a sweet, calm demeanour and we all love him.

This beautiful boy is joining our family on Sunday.
It’s my first time owning a rabbit.
He’s beautiful and I love him already.

I’m currently reading Wordslut by the same author.
The Age of Magical Overthinking is next on my TBR list. Cultish is also on my TBR list.

What are YOU reading? I need more brain food. (Fluff works too)

I’m trying to come up with patreon gifts for new members in the new year.
How connected to my podcast content should it be?
The podcast is literary lullabies and is meant to be bedtime stories.
Would colouring pages or art prints be a good gift?

Spending time with close friends and found family is just the most amazing feeling.
We spent the whole day in the kitchen making batches and batches of cookies.
So many delicious cookies.
So much love!

Feeling heavy today.
Empty cage just sitting there. The other guinea pig has been moved to my daughter’s room for comfort.
It’s so weird to come downstairs in the morning and not have his bright little face chirping at me for breakfast.

He passed away an hour ago.
He had a tumour that developed an infection.
He was a sweet sweet boy.
