While Starmer is too timid, the horror of Brexit damage is continuing. Yet no legal accountability for those who were responsible. Johnson, Farage, "We're sick of experts" Gove etc etc. They all just swan off with golden parachutes, newspaper columns etc and the rest of us have to foot a hefty bill.

Mahmood’s proposal contradicts 1951 convention. It’s an ill conceived policy to treat every asylum applicant with the same brush. This isn’t a solution, but will stigmatise the most vulnerable group of people.
