Please consider masking indoors as we enter respiratory illness “season”. We are happy to provide New Brunswickers with quality respirators for free.

Been busting my ass all school year to make it to the library weekly for story time. We’ve only missed like 3. Honestly the most physical commitment I’ve made in years.

I am truly so excited for the tree lighting in Oromocto tonight. We are a community big enough to have events independent of Fredericton. Good move.

I am days away from my third Xolair injection. I have seen reduction in many symptoms - mostly inflammation and neurological benefits. I am not so hopelessly angry and drowning in despair anymore. I am not itchy 24/7, just 12/3. I can eat a few more things and drink sparkling water. Baby steps.

Phew. Good thing we ignored illness as a factor for chronic absenteeism and did nothing. It’s only doubled. Whatever should we do now.

“Well there’s no plan to get your kids off the side of the road but don’t worry” does not exactly inspire confidence.

I can see the northern lights with my eyes balls for the first time ever, even in town. Absolutely wild.

I think the Governor General being unable to perform her duties because she’s been hospitalized by a respiratory virus is kind of a big deal actually.

Every time I lift the wheelchair into the trunk I hear myself asking people to please care enough to not get me sick so I can do this sort of thing in my head on repeat. They did not care but this wheelchair won’t lift itself so here we are.

Slowly starting to revive some of the furniture I inherited. 100 or more years of gunk, gone.

Why are there doors in the hospital without a button that opens it? It’s annoying for me to navigate as a caregiver. I can’t imagine how frustrating it is for a wheelchair user. This post was brought to you by the ecg section of the dech.

My nightmare med jacked my hr up to 140 so back to hell I go. Last night I was racing to get all of the things I wanted from my grandparents house before the floor collapsed from under me. This is the most mild of my nightmares. How do I make this stop without ruining the progress I’ve made?

It’s been two years since Nathan had his bracing done at SCCR and he still asks if he’s going for another cast every single time we put our socks on. We all know I’m an SCCR fangirl, and now we know he is too.

I don’t think that we see this version of NB without NB twitter. That world is gone now, and this place is less cohesive, and less goofy, but for the few who remain and will see this I want to say thanks. I want to say thanks to those who have moved on too, but were so instrumental in fighting.

Most of us who are covid conscious understand that widespread masking is not returning.

But masking in healthcare facilities should be an easy ask.

Getting folks to mask when they’re sick should be an easy ask.

Cleaning the air should be an easy ask.

It’s time we adapt!

I’m not sure who the high profile guy complaining is but I’d love to make it worse for him by getting masks out to you all.

As always, the link for free masks is in my pinned post.
Saw that post about the high profile guy complaining about people fighting for greater masking uptake. Once again: the MASKS are not the problem; the virus-laden AIR that we are forced to breathe is the problem. The masks are at the moment just about the only reachable protection against the BAD AIR

More bloodwork. More doctors. More medicine. This time for nightmares. Round and round we go.

If you ever see me saying something about “power” just know I instinctually typed hydro first and deleted it. You can take the girl out of the Ottawa Valley …

I’m just a girl weighing two scary bad options because novavax isn’t a thing we can get. Clinging to my baseline for dear life and every choice feels wrong.

It’s been 8 days since I got my first shot of Xolair. The pressure in my head is better. I had fun this weekend which is good because I had even stopped listening to music. I am less itchy. I feel WAY less restless. I am way MORE nauseous. Food still sucks. Headed in the right direction tho.

Where do we go for acute issues that are caused by our chronic illnesses? The ER doesn’t manage our issues. Well neither do our doctors. So where do we go. What do we do? We sit at home and hope it’s not fatal.

I would love @susanholtnb.bsky.social and the minister of health to weigh in on this.

Are they not tired of this game? It was fixed the same day it was called out. They know, they’re just hoping someone will stop reminding them. I’m tired of this game.
Woke up to pee and for some reason I decided to punt this thing again and look what changed … now if only the actual healthcare system would switch to respirators and deploy HEPA and other IAQ improvements.

I started my biologic to help with my food intolerances, incredible itching and other MCAS symptoms. P is taking excellent care of me. “So, what are your side effects or symptoms now?” Still feeling sea sick on land little dude. 🤢

Please don't forget that we have 4 CR boxes available to lend out in the Fredericton area to make your gatherings safer. The link to book one is in my pinned post.

Please share the wwater.ca/New_Brunswic... wastewater site with friends outside of Bluesky. Link to it on your other socials. That link is directly to Sackville which is having a massive COVID surge. Read on for other observations. /1
