Professor Bernie has fully embraced his new Scottish reality, and he has taken up the habit of smoking his pipe while he walks in the woods. He keeps getting older, fuzzier, and shorter as the days go by... how odd.

This is an older commission I got from Xantouke.bsky.social which I still really enjoy. I'm especially fond of the way the tweed was rendered, it's superb!

It looks like the geography professor bought a weird antique pipe and decided to show it off during a lecture. He probably should've read the inscription on it first! Oh well, now he got shorter, rounder, and significantly more Scottish in front of the entire class :P

This is Ted, the practical handyman of the Henchdeer. He's as strong as a moose, built like a weightlifter with massive showers and very thick chest fluff. But he's also quite friendly and smart, despite his gruff exterior!

This is Gene, the spokesman of the Henchdeer! He's a very kobold-like reindeer with a charming big mustache, but with way too much confidence for his own good. He's a classic cartoon trickster, but he can be quite the gentleman if need be!

Here's my character Bernie, the brains of the Henchdeer! He's
a stocky dwarf reindeer, and an old professor with a big white beard. He's great at logistics and planning, but he also acts like an absent-minded Scottish grandpa.

They're the Haize Henchdeer: Bernie, Gene, and Ted. They're three reindeer henchmen who love being evil, but they mostly just get into comedic trouble :P

Haize has spent a lot of his days by the sea, sailing and fishing. I love the idea of travelling the world by boat!

I think now's a good time to reshare some of the artwork done by the Norwegian illustration Louis Moe, born 1857. I took these photos at the art gallery Bomuldsfabriken in Arendal, Southern Norway. These are some great early furry illustrations done up in a lovely style!
