Joanne Leung, one of Haitu’s organizers, will share her experiences, raising awareness of the lives and struggles of Asian trans individuals. We will also hold a moment of silence for transgender people who have passed away, and share local transgender-related medical and legal resources.

At 7 p.m. on November 21, Haitu will host a Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) event at 268 Keefer St in Vancouver’s Chinatown. Haitu will screen documentaries about Asian trans people.

After the screening, those who are interested are welcome to stay for a discussion on topics related to the films. Haitu will provide some snacks and soft drinks, and attendees are encouraged to bring their own to share with others. We look forward to seeing you there!

Navigating romance, love, and intimacy is daunting as is. There seems to be more challenges for trans people. How we trans people face these challenges? Are there differences between trans and cis people in terms of feeling and expressing love and (a)sexuality?

After the event, participants may decide whether they want to get dinner together by themselves. We will provide snacks and soft drinks. The event will be held in downtown Vancouver and we will send the details of address and other information after signing up through email.

The first event of Haitu Trans Support Society is here! The event will be held on January 26th (Sunday) during 3-5pm. Activities of this event will include the self-introduction of the organizers of Haitu, incebreaking, board games, and feedbacks, etc.
