Agree with others about it maybe being a formatting issue, or just a random annoying "Windows doesn't like this for some reason" bug. A workaround could be to download it on a seperate device like a phone and transfer it across manually.

Something something something "just like me at a seafood buffet" something something.

I feel like you could replace the word "Gaming" with "AI" and this rant still tracks perfectly.

From what I can tell it's some form of cosmic eldritch void that no living being can excape from.

Good move!

Not at all, all good.

I was merely pointing out that my general "feels" as a newbie kinda led me down that path naturally. I know you can logically explain it differently, but overall the argument that hybrid mana is intuitively multicolour in nature isn't really true for everyone.
October 24, 2025 at 12:59 AM
When I was a new player, I learned that hybrid meant "either/or", and in fact was lead to assume that hybrid mana already allowed for these applications being proposed. The argument doesn't even make sense to begin with.

I mean sure..... I can't change the way I thought as an MTG newbie.

They are desperately trying to manufacture a scandal out of this. It's pathetic.

When I started playing commander I mistakenly put hybrid cards into decks that only met one of the 2 mana requirements because I learned early that hybrid means "either/or". I would argue the current situation is in fact, more confusing for new players.

Yeah as someone who relies on several "professional" apps for my hobbies/ work, I feel you.

Would very much love to get away from Windows, but it's not super realistic.
October 22, 2025 at 2:59 AM
I feel like this is an argument against the quality of THIS card's design. Hybrid mana has always meant to be an "either/ or" requirement. Are we going to pretend like colour pie breaks/ design mistakes aren't already rife in commander?
October 21, 2025 at 11:58 PM
%100 agree. Hybrid mana is by design "either or".

Seeing a lot of folks complaining that "but this card doesn't make sense in one of it's colours!"... ok, cool? So that card was badly designed. Are we going to pretend colour pie breaks aren't already rife in commander?

Kind of seems like... if they made the movie... the movie would explain why.
October 21, 2025 at 12:42 AM
.... huh
October 21, 2025 at 12:40 AM
Yeah. I think sadly alot of folk who view themselves as progressive have the attitude "ok I'll be good most of the time, but I HAVE TO let it out at some point!".

Classic. Feels most like a prototype X-wing.

Lands being only vaguely/ not at all the thing they are named after feels like a line they crossed a long time ago. Way before the UB shenanigans.

I'm more annoyed when they are coloured confusingly, like that KND swamp.

Good lord wtf did I just read....
October 8, 2025 at 7:38 AM
So much wasted potential for officially produced minis/ games from this series... glad there's 3D prints out there to fill the void.

Your content is excellent inspite of the algorithm, not because of it. Any semi competent cintent creator can chase numbers, but there's only one spicy human that rants about comunism & human rights so eloquently while reviewing pieces of cardboard.
October 7, 2025 at 6:05 AM
Having said that... I think UW would make a fun deckbuilding stipulation. Maybe even further restrict it to "only printed for standard cards" if you wanna push the idea further. Perhaps just not another full blown format.
October 7, 2025 at 4:16 AM
My general feeling is that Commander is the one place UB content kinda works. It's the 60 cards competative formats where I find it irksome.
