I think I agree and if we make that argument we have to look at all of our lives eg excessive use of email to people in the office next to us. Same with Teams and zoom. Your comments are helpful thank you for taking the time.

That is helpful but some people are adamant we should not be using GenAI nor using it with students in anyway due to the environmental impact of LLMs. I do wonder if we take as much note of the rest of our digital carbon footprint.

I am running a project with academics asking them to try different exercises and then reflect on implications for pedagogy and ethics etc. The main concern is the impact on the environment. Do you have any thoughts how we can work with AI sustainably?

Yet the fines are not making any money. Unless something has changed many FOIs indicate that the system costs more than it gets back in fines.

Our PTA used to deliver about 10 new books per classroom per term. BUT later a lot were removed as not deemed high quality enough. There were plenty of good quality but honestly it isn't the end of the world if a child reads one of the dreaded fairies books.

Thank you.

Would be intrigued to see how extra time actually helps. Long exams being made longer isn't necessarily helpful.

Thanks, a live issue for me, but it also seems to be discipline specific. Colleagues not in education seem horrified by the many authors on some of my papers. Some seem to think the last author is nearly as important as the first and possibly the grant holder.
