When the government talk about jobs for U25s, where are they? Both my daughters keep applying and get nowhere. Not quite true. One has v occasional hours alongside college. The other can't find full time work.

I lost my passport, so today I cleaned and sorted my bedroom, the hallway, and the office. All looks stunning but did not find the passport. Husband went to check the passport box and found it NEXT to the box on the shelf! I reckon he hid it so I might clean and tidy for once.

Youngest has just passed her driving test and driven herself to dance. I am no longer an instructor nor a taxi driver. Free but now I have the stress of her driving and am broke after the insurance hike.

Half a million fines were sent to parents last year. The system costs us money and clogs up the courts. It is deeply problematic as I write here. #edusky

I just spoke to Gloucester radio about school absences and the government fines. School absence is complicated. It isn't just about cheap holidays. We need a national conversation about this that is rational and compassionate.

Unbelievably Rufus (8 month old cockapoo) let us sleep in until 8.30am. At which point he jumped on the bed and told us we were a bit lazy. Haven't slept that late for a long time.

Had a fantastic day yesterday with @enactusuk.bsky.social working with young people who are working with and as NextGenLeaders. They are creating and running projects tackling problems within their communities. Incredible thinking and problem solving shown. We need this in the curriculum.

I used to get extra time but couldn't use it. After 3 hrs I was broken so another 30 mins was impossible. Maybe shorten exams?
Private schools accused of “gaming system” as figures show 42% of pupils receive extra time for exams compared with 27% of state schools. Ofqual figures show nearly a third of pupils, 420,000, now receive extra time in GCSE & A-level exams. This is up from 15% in 2016.

I have finally made it over here. Any suggestions as to how to make the most of it whilst not letting another SM app take over my life would be welcome.
