I even realized mine was lost when I was still close enough to where I had lost it that I could have reasonably gone back and looked for it, but instead I just said "Good riddance!"

I really enjoyed this. I got a fitness tracker on the advice of my trainer who wanted me to at least have a baseline on my regular steps etc. I lost it on vacation in Yucatan last month and I was so relieved. I bid it a happy farewell and have gone back to wearing a mechanical watch
