Stating that you intend to use FreeBSD for desktop things rather than Linux seems to be a very upsetting notion for certain GNU/Linux fans, it would appear.
Denying that the Linux Chaos Vortex exists doesn't make it go away, though.

Just checked what a budget 1 TB SATA SSD goes for that I bought a couple of weeks ago, and the current price is already up from 51 to 61 Euro. Never mind other brands that are rising much faster.

When you consider how many bats are killed by nuclear power plants and how many by wind turbines, we absolutely should be building NPPs, not wind turbines.
