We know exactly how much each company's workers are getting through SNAP.

Why the fuck can't the government just straight up bill them for it?
The Boston Globe identified the companies in Massachusetts that employ the most SNAP recipients. A key stat: "In Massachusetts, 74% of working-age recipients of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program are employed, half of them full-time."

Quoting online sales only is somewhat misleading. Yeah people probably are doing more online shopping, but in-store reports so far appear to be down. I'm going to wait for figures for *all* sales, not just online ones.

Introduce myself with 5 concerts?

Kansas
Yes
Rush
Billy Joel
...
And I'll cut a few others out for a more recent one: I've not only seen Post Sex Nachos, I've performed on stage with them, and my face appears as their spiritual grandfather on one of their album covers.

BREAKING: This is huge news, the EU's equivalent of the 🇺🇸Supreme Court's 2015 Obergefell v. Hodges ruling.

🇪🇺Court of Justice just ruled all 🇪🇺countries must recognise same-sex marriages granted in other member states.

This effectively legalises gay marriage across 🇪🇺

Virtually certain that Roberts, Thomas, and Alito have all partaken of Epstein's "Services."

A bunch of child-rapers on the court explains things.
New rule: if you’re a Supreme Court Justice and you’re mentioned in the Epstein files, you have to recuse from any future lawsuit about the Epstein Files Transparency Act.

Don't know what MTG will do after leaving Congress, but her simply disappearing into obscurity would be welcome.

For the record, I fully expected Mamdani to come off really well in his interactions with the septic orange goblin. Zorhan knows how to handle people.

Risk pooling - i.e. "Insurance" - is an inherently Socialist concept. We've proven we can do that in the most capitalistic, predatory, inefficient and uneven way possible. But, we still do it.

It would be worse madness not to, than how poorly we do now. We need to remove profit from healthcare.

I still think it was just a euphemism, but... that fucker can't do anything right, and now I can't unthink about how, if it really happened, that would have to have been the absolute worst BJ in the history of all BJs in the whole history of all time. 🤮

Mamdani is going to far more effective, and his policies will be far more effective for New York, than almost anyone believes.

It's a bright day for NY, and that means it's going to be a beautiful new dawn for America.

This comet thing is just stupidly funny.

Now that the comet is past its perihelion, and doing exactly what any regular comet would be doing anyway (speeding back out of our solar system), it's no longer an alien threat to attack us, but aliens running away like scaredy-cats?

Hysteria.

What if I told you that fostering kids is one of the few viable sources of steady income in a lot of rural areas.

Yep a lot of rural MAGA foster kids, basically for economic survival. Something to think about.
Trump: "Christians and more, think of this, more than twice as likely foster care they'll adopt the general population. They adopt to it so easily. When they get out, they adopt to it like it's become second nature. It's amazing."

Of course lots of Democrats are in the Epstein files. Sexual predation is a function of power, not party.

Judges, legislators, agency heads, wealthy people... LOTS of powerful people on that list; not all Republicans.

I've been waiting decades to see Bill Clinton get fried for what he's done.
November 13, 2025 at 1:19 PM
The single most believable "real explanation" of why Democrats suddenly caved, is that some of them (& their wealthy donors) personally experienced travel disruption from the shutdown. To them, travel inconvenience turns out to be way more important than healthcare access for millions of people.

Love the idea of packing a Hoagie in a holster just like someone might pack a gun. The problem is, I'd never make it more than 30 minutes without just pulling it out and eating it.

...and now they're gonna stage another fake medical event, where pres dufus rushes in to help.

Yes, they've staged that kind of thing before, in response to an incident where Tim Walz actually rushed off the stage into the crowd to help someone at a rally.

Just know, they're working on it.
