Victimes de l'explosion de la rue de Trévise à Paris, en 2019, une quinzaine d'employés des hôtels Ibis et Mercure ont été virés pour inaptitude. Les deux établissements, eux, ont touché 4 millions d'euros de leur assureur, et ont pu rouvrir.
