I’m sure I can. Thanks.

I’m going to watch a video I saw about why it wasn’t like (maybe the same one). I can’t watch it, at least I don’t think so, in Canada but it’ll probably show up eventually.

I love it!

And warm socks and mitts and … Lots of warm stuff!

I heard that knitters hate this show 🤔

I had one like that. So annoying since it was sock yarn. All the other colours changed in a reasonable way but one just went on and on. I don’t mind the socks not colour changing identically but sheesh! They didn’t look like they really went together at all.

My guy just encourages me by squeezing himself in beside me while I knit… I would like him to encourage me from slightly further away but I take what I can get 😊

I laughed at this. I am sitting knitting 🧶 with a heating pad against my back and just thought I need to vacuum today! But that will be after we gather some more fall on our dog walk.

The swivel cables I got on my Chiaogoo Forté set were terrible. Snag, snag, snag! So I hope the aren’t like Chiagoo swivels, at least not the ones I have (replaced w/ red—Forté were a rip off).

Have you tried them? I can’t use the ones I have but I’m interested in whether they make a difference.

😂 Too funny! I love the circular needles. Haven’t used straights much in the last 10 years or so. I’m doing a queen size blanket now. I can’t imagine trying it on straights.

That’s wild! I will never again pay a lot for needles. When I retired I bought myself the Forté set. The swivels did nothing but snag, a tip broke & was 1st replaced with a bent set… They replaced the swivels with red ones. The extras were cheep. Basically I got a lot of nothing special for $470.

Beautiful!

Me too! I decided to knit socks on the side. I knit the blanket (queen size with lace pattern) during the day and socks in the evening. The blanket would go faster if I didn’t keep messing up 🙄

This is the first complete cat nestled in lace and the pattern photo.

Thanks! I can work with that!

They’re mostly from the 1950s. Some men’s vests & cardigans, twin sets for women, & patterns for babies. I’ll look later and take a couple of photos.

I made a this when I was pregnant with my first. Here’s a page from it that I already had. I gave it to my son & DIL.

Perfect!

This is going to my daughter… probably for her birthday not Hanukkah. Or rather my daughter will come and get it because I’m not paying to mail it! 😂
November 17, 2025 at 11:06 PM
I love it! Is there a pattern?
November 17, 2025 at 11:04 PM
I love it! I was thinking of knitting something from the vintage patterns I have.

I love the guy with the moustache kind of hanging over.

That’s hilarious! I had the same thought as the other poster… toes would be cold. Well, that’s what handmade socks are for!
November 17, 2025 at 10:59 PM
Finishing the first section of this blanket, which is a lot bigger than I realized 😂 Not a problem just a surprise. This is the first complete cat. There are 9 cats, 3 across each section. If I could resist getting distracted it would go a bit faster!

I just used mine at the office & at home. When I hike I keep it under my coat if no inside pockets… which brings up another thing… why can’t women have inside pockets? I have a fleece jacket and a jean jacket that have them b/c the actual pocket forms one.

I can’t tell you how much I love these! Congratulations too! You both look gorgeous… and my totem animal looks fabulous too!
November 16, 2025 at 4:34 PM
I made one for myself years ago. Sometimes I have no pockets!

I’d happily make one for half the price they charge and it would be much more beautiful.
