@scarredforlife.bsky.social My parents bought this album in the late 70s, and I have no idea why, they've never had any interest in disco funk. I was always a bit scared of it because of the cover - that robot's face unsettled me (still does, a bit) and the final track is titled Robot Death.

Hardback, think it had a purplish cover, and the bit that scarred me was an illustration near the middle. It was of people in an American Midwest farmhouse in the middle of the night...

Today is the 9th anniversary of me discovering that a chap I used to work with at ITV was responsible for creating the Family Fortunes "wrong answer" sound effect when he was at ATV back in 1980. It was done on a VCS3.
