Day 3 of the Triangle Pen Show is underway! Find me in the Oak Room (room 3) and say Hi! 🙂

Brooks Primary Manipulation 5 blanks are in-stock here! His new version of his classic PM line incorporates a silver shimmer that has to be seen in person to be fully appreciated.

These won’t be ready in time for the Triangle show, but they will be on my table at the DC Supershow in August!

Spent today wet sanding, buffing, and ultrasonic cleaning this batch of CC1 fountain pens. Monday they’ll get their notches to have clips added.

I knew I was tempting fate when I cast this resin in my favorite color. Then the black accents with the clip and nib, and the black ebonite section…yep. This CC1 is going to be a keeper for me!

Chrome clip with steel nib or gold clip and nib? I feel like this is a winner either way. First look at my new CC1 fountain pen series! Resin pour is DiamondCast.

A concept that’s been kicking around for me for some time now. My Gloucester Cathedral Hogwarts fountain pen series. The wood, from Gloucester Cathedral in England, was the film location for several iconic scenes from throughout the Harry Potter series.

A little sneak peek at a new pen series in the works!

New D2 model fountain pen in a resin pour that doesn’t have a name yet. Any suggestions?

A big Thank You to Ms. Catalano & her 3rd and 4th year shop students at Woodstown HS for stopping by today! I gave the full shop tour, talked about my journey, & demo’d the CNC lathe for them. I enjoyed that the class made pens for me to give feedback on with a blind judging for bragging rights 🙂

A quick (sped up) little video of boring out a fountain pen section to match a JoWo 6 housing profile.

After each one I do a test fit with a nib to make sure everything is running true and no tool wear has changed the necessary dimensions.

This will receive the body threads during shaping.

Are you local to Southern New Jersey?

Interested in learning about fountain pens?

I’m having a class at my shop tomorrow, April 5th, from 3-4pm covering you everything you need to know about fountain pens!

Honored for the opportunity to be interviewed by my daughter’s TV Production class today at Rowan U! Everyone there was incredibly kind and professional.

We talked about my shop, how I got into pen making, and a bit about my current favorite fountain pen among other things.

After the feedback on if this should have a polished steel or black nib, I think the unofficial poll from earlier nailed it. Black it is!

Thanks to everyone who took a moment to comment 🙂

Hmmm, polished steel nib in the Onyx GemPen to match the fine silver setting and ghostly presence resin highlights, or a black nib to match the onyx and darker parts of the resin? 🤔

New Pen Day hits a little different for me here at the store. I get to see them and hold them, but they aren’t mine 😭

It’s time to get some pics of these fountain pens for my website. Nice rainy day kind of activity 🙂

Own a piece of the original 1969 Woodstock stage! I made the resin using the colors of the Woodstock promo flyers with pieces of the iconic stage inlaid into the cap in the shape of a peace symbol.

Currently available on my site, includes Certificate of Authenticity.

Some future fountain pens here! Pieces I picked up this past weekend include a bunch of different resin blanks as well as wood from the USS Missouri, the USS Wisconsin, & the USS North Carolina.

Taking a few more days off before re-opening the shop, then some custom orders to work on before these.

The Baltimore Pen Show was fantastic! I had such a good time catching up with old friends and meeting new ones. I’ve been busy since getting back for the Mid-Atlantic Turners Expo this weekend (I drive out tomorrow). Apologies for being a bit absent here lately!

Ready to kick off the last day of the Baltimore Pen Show! Stop by and say Hi 🙂
March 9, 2025 at 1:26 PM
Just finished up the first Woodstock fountain pen - The Peace symbol on the cap is inlaid with wood from the 1969 Woodstock stage! I made the resin using the colors from the promotional posters of the time.

This will be available at the Baltimore Pen Show in a few days.
