sort update on hydrop project (for those that might b interested) : 1. The seedlings have started after finding that the previous seeds were no longer viable, so I had to get new seeds & retry; 2. Focus here is on creating grow lights from basic elements

Short update: Filled the planters with the Hydroton clay pebbles. Crushed some pebbles to create a clay "soil" for planting the seeds in. You can grow from seeds directly using that method. The square planters were a bit of a pain to work with. You need a way to cut square holes in the plastic cover

This is a much sturdier grow light stand, since the temporary PVC stand was starting to bend from the weight. I believe that this is a good starting point for the indoor garden. I believe the best veggie to start with is spinach, so I'm hoping that I can fully start it up. Will update

Update: testing out the grow light with very clumsy PVC stand. This grow light was made by Vipar Spectra. Reflector Spectra Model: V300 (www.viparspectra.com)

Starting hydroponic tank: Cut out holes in lib of 22 gallon tank for hydroponics. Recycling the sterlite bin, along with the older plastic garden pots I got from the Garden Center

After a long illness, I'm attempting to back to my bioreactor project. This is the proof-of-concept system, minus the bioreactor vessel, which I'm working on separately. Keeping my fingers crossed to get it done before the end of the year.
