In todays dollars, that $17 billion dollar Harper deficit would be ~ $24 billion.

Conservatives are always disastrous for the economy. Bad policies, tax cuts for the rich, social cuts for the rest of us. Trickle down economics only advantage the rich.

Perspective check: not all deficits are created equal.

In 2009, Harper ran a $17 billion quarterly deficit.

In 2025, it’s $3.3 billion, in a tougher global economy.

Hedged my bets last night and went to a show for the first part of the evening. I’m so sad to see that the Capitol theatre in Moncton has such poor ventilation. I think the Imperial theatre in SJ made major HVAC investments. Ventilation this poor is bad for artists and audience. /1
