All three were seized at aid points, bound, blindfolded, stripped naked, and taken out of Gaza. In custody, they describe nonstop beatings, electric shocks, starvation, and exposure to extreme cold. Soldiers forced them into stress positions for hours, unleashed dogs on them, and blasted deafening music in the “disco room,” where interrogators slammed their heads into walls and tightened handcuffs until bones cracked. The boys also recount staged psychological torture: threats against their families, edited photos meant to break them, and attempts to recruit them as collaborators in exchange for money and housing. Cells were filthy, overcrowded, crawling with insects, with rotten food and no medical care. Stun grenades were thrown into rooms at night, leaving children terrified to sleep. All three were released in the October prisoner exchange, returning to Gaza with severe injuries, trauma, suffering involuntary urination, panic attacks, and crippling nightmares. DCIP says their testimony shows a detention system that targets children with brutality and humiliation, not for “security” but to break their bodies, terrify their families, and crush the next generation’s sense of safety. Local media said the boys were fired on with live rounds in the southern part of the town and that their bodies were seized and transported to an unknown location. Israel’s military issued a statement claiming that soldiers from Battalion 636 had staged an ambush and opened fire after the pair allegedly approached carrying Molotov cocktails near the Karmei Zur settlement. The army further asserted that the children were “on their way to carry out a terror attack.” None of these claims have been independently verified, and no injuries were reported among Israeli forces. Hamas condemned the killings, calling them part of an escalating campaign of violence against Palestinians in the West Bank, particularly targeting teenagers and young men. The movement said the repeated killing of children reflects “a government of murder and terrorism” and vowed that such attacks would only strengthen popular resolve to resist Israeli aggression. According to figures compiled by Palestinian monitor Shireen Observatory and cited by IMEMC, 238 Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank since the start of the year, including 48 children. The toll includes 80 in Jenin, 42 in Nablus, 30 in Tubas, 22 in Hebron, 19 in Ramallah, 17 in Tulkarem, 9 each in Bethlehem and Jerusalem, 6 in Qalqilia, 3 in Salfit, and 1 in Jericho.

Civil defense crews in Rafah are warning that incoming winter storms could turn the displacement zones into a catastrophic humanitarian crisis. Tens of thousands of people are living in torn tents, gutted and destroyed homes, and improvised shelters along the coast, in al-Mawasi, and on the outskirts of Rafah and Khan Younis – places never built to absorb this level of displacement. Ali Baraka, a senior official in Hamas told AJ Mubasher the shelter shortage is the result of Israel deliberately blocking agreed-upon aid. Under the ceasefire framework, 300,000 tents were supposed to reach Gaza; only 5% that amount have entered after over a month. The same deal required 600 aid trucks daily; Israel is allowing about 200. Heavy machinery needed to clear rubble, reopen roads, and locate more than 10,000 missing Palestinians is still barred from entry. Aid remains stockpiled on the Egyptian side as Israel keeps the Rafah crossing closed. Palestinians have previously said families lack insulation, flooring, waterproofing — any basic protection against cold winds. Many tents collapse in normal weather. But Israel abruptly decided to send all Gazan patients back to Gaza next week.
