True. Mainly due to much more strict safety regulations for large buildings including mandatory smoke or fire detectors. But if there is a fire the number of casualties is usually higher in such buildings. In your house YOU are the only one responsible for your safety and only you are affected.

That’s not the point…it’s about your chance to escape…quite a difference between ground or first floor compared to 20th…isn’t it? I sadly remember seeing videos of people jumping out of windows with no chance to survive this, but seeing this as their only chance to not burn alive.

…a question I‘m also asking myself almost every day…somehow…because it was basically never much different. Bad people (very bad people) are always around…the really bad thing is that nowadays everybody like that can spread their unhinged bs opinions worldwide on these platforms…

This whole episode reveals that the current US negotiating team is completely out of its depth and that people involved in this „negotiations“ are absolute amateurs to say the least.
