Why bother with performative fight for 40 days if you arent true to your covictions-if you have any? I would love the Dems to stand for something but I'm afraid I'll die waiting for a party I can believe in.

This is stupid. If the Republicans won't negotiate, why agree to a deal with them that lessens the pain their supporters feel from their policies?
The only path forward is to create as much pain for Republicans supporters so they push the them to compromise.

Perhaps....at what long term cost? The rough numbers show that ACA costs will go up 4x the amount of SNAP benefits. So people need help with BOTH not a sell out that only addresses 20% of the problem.
