The first day of school in LA & I gave my kids copies of their passports to keep with them. Our beloved, hard-working teachers have to stand outside school ready to defend & protect kids because ICE violently (& mistakenly) detained a kid at gunpoint on Monday. #ICE #Fascism #LAUSD #AreWeGreatYet?

I hate taking down the Christmas tree but it’s become a lot more fun since the kids have started adding “secret” ornaments. Once it was a stamp. Another time, a coloring book page. This year, it’s a button filled with silver foil. #christmas #tree #ornaments #parenting #joy #simplepleasures
