Five (!) of my clinic students worked on this amicus brief supporting a cert petition in Little v. Llano County, a book banning case out of the Fifth Circuit. I was a year behind @leahlitman.bsky.social at @umichlaw.bsky.social. Even then *everyone* knew she’d be a brilliant lawyer, even those who only knew her from afar. I later learned firsthand she has a witty, justice-oriented approach — which forms the core of her new book out today. Congrats Leah!

Congrats to friend & inspiration @deborahnarcher.bsky.social on the publication of her first book! Can’t wait to read! As a child of suburban Detroit I learned how highways cleaved communities, particularly along racial lines. It’s lovely that it’s a Norton book — the first publisher I worked for!

My friend Priya sent me some artisanal syrups, one of which is Gulab Jamun flavored and I used to make old fashioneds. People loved it given how much of the bottle we killed.
