Here, have one of my favorite signs from yesterday.

I will say, watching a right wing guy try to figure out how to argue with "Protect the rule of law," & "Protect the Constitution" was pretty damn funny. Guy had no idea how to object.

My current favorites are Wearingeul's Hades and Monteverde's Sapphire.

Post a picture you took to bring some zen to the timeline.
Winter, leafless trees line and shadow a dry, dirt lined depression stretching off to the upper right. There's nothing to be seen but the creek, the trees, and the animal tracks along the bosque. It's a good thing to have it empty; this is the floodwater run-off system for part of Albuquerque. This dry stream bed runs down to the Rio Grande, which is where I was going that day. It's surprisingly peaceful -- at rest, but ready to return to life.

A bright red rose, pink in the center leaves that have yet to unfurl, with water drops -- large on one outer petal, tiny and scattered everywhere on inner petals. So close to the camera that the green leaves and other flowers are faintly out of focus and it all looks almost unreal. From my front flowerbed, after a rainstorm. Decidedly real.

The land rises up, shallowly. A few trees are scattered across the rise. And under the trees is a field of purple wild flowers, small bells on high stalks with long leaves. There are so many, the entire foreground is more purple than green. It's beautifully soothing.

Yet another timline cleanse because it's been quite a week and it's only Tuesday.

Discussion with norbertceo.bsky.social who doesn't actually answer questions but wants me to be interested in crypto. My suspicion is bot. Just an FYI for folks. I asked why they followed me and got 'Well, it's really nice meeting you. Am norbert (uncapitalized) from Germany based in Los Angeles US.' When I asked again why they followed me, I got a job description and a query about my familiarity with Crypto. So, bot.

A perfect album that came out when I was 21.

Have a timeline cleanse. This was my Casey, who played fetch, liked to hug his people with both forearms around your neck and his head under your chin, and purred a *lot*.
