sorry for confusing the Aerions, dumb thing is, i read who his parents were, but had to look up the timeframe and in this confused the Aerions.
so this is roughly 90-100 years before Dany, Ned and Arya, that puts us still in plate territory but, more importantly, in bascinet territory!

i should state that Aerion is the son of friggin' Aegon the Conqueror, which takes place roughly 300 years before the events of ASOIAF. considering the equivalences between fantasy and actual history, he should wear something more like this
