She/her fat black queer, disabled femme, leftist in my 30s, sometimes publicly slutty, sometimes publicly depressed. I talk about food and books a lot and I try to be kind.

I know things are terrible for everyone actually but increasingly, I am aware of how profoundly not OK I am and I should at this point do a lot more than seeing my therapist, but $200 and I can have four therapy appointments, which is something.

That’s why I say keep calling.
I recognize this is, to some extent, cope/bargaining, but

this is the the first of several votes necessary to end the shutdown, right? so even the present unfathomable fecklessness doesn't mean it's over over, and there are multiple potential blockage points ahead to reject a no-concessions 'deal'?

A major publication that doesn’t add alt text when the image is mostly text anyway, should be ashamed to show their face in public frankly.
add that to the list of reasons to be discussed with teen Vogue these days.

This book is cozy and also delightful
When Imari accidentally runs into her childhood friend Cassidy at a fall festival she is shocked to find out that Cassidy has grown up into a sexy af butch. Imari is bi but she has never been with a woman but can't deny the growing chemistry between them. georginakiersten.com/fall-into-yo...

Hard block...soft block...what we need is tender block, where I lovingly hold you in my arms, look deep into your eyes, and then whisper into your ear that I never want hear anything you say ever again because you replied to my post with annoying nonsense and I just can't today.

I just screeched in a perhaps mildly alarming fashion, but I want it
Yes, I wanted to write a (romantic fantasy) novel using that never-gets-old trope of the smart girl and the mean girl.

CN: sex

I was entirely uninterested in trying out the We-Vibe Temp until I find out it also does cooling and then I was sold, I mean, I don’t have money for that, but also, sold as soon as I do.

Look, I am not an antidepressants girly, but I know so many people whose lives have been saved by those medication’s, denial of access is just a way to kill people and still be able to claim you have clean hands.

Cached US Kindle giveaway: 10 copies of M. R. Carey's INFINITY GATE (THE PANDOMINION BOOK 1), which was my favorite hard(ish) SF book the year it came out; the sequel, Echo of Worlds, is *better*.

Telling what you think of is an amusing from a distance story from your childhood and watching the dawning horror in someone else’s face, I could have this experience less actually

In a lot of ways other leftists chose this path folks. They shrugged and didn’t care when Patreon banned a ton of hypnosis and TF creators, or when YouTube started their ASMR crackdown. Now it’s coming for queer porn creators, more and more. Who will stand up?

Hey so I loved Scales of Seduction so much when I was first hunting down queer/lesbian/trans fiction in the earliest days of my transition. It combines my love of mythology and themes of transformation in some of the most intense prose I've read.
I've suggested it to many of my friends irl!

And this is the fault, if it's anyone's fault, of people who liked to say they're progressive but refuse to purchase what they love to consumer for free.

Bluesky progressives allowed creators to flounder while demanding content for free, and made up elaborate reasons why they SHOULDN'T subscribe.
Early on people loved to donate to requests for help but said they considered purchasing porn to be debasing - TO sex workers. But they were happy to look for free. Which is very convenient for them - but not very helpful for creators.

Creators who moved here FROM twitter have vacant accounts now.

It’s just so telling this rich, white trans woman who is mainly insulated from the actual danger working class trans woman and TWOC face constantly advocates for making trans ppl second class citizens to acquiesce to fascist rehetoric while never actually fighting for trans peoples legal personhood.

Joyce Carol Oates sitting across a desk from Kendrick Lamar:

"So I'm putting a team together..."

Isaac Chotiner knocks on the open door.
Personally, I will be trying to avoid the notice of Joyce Carol Oates and Kendrick Lamar for the rest of my natural life
I need Joyce Carol Oates to be mean to me online so I can get my life together

We are all, at best, temporarily abled.
Yall real silent about disability injustices because most of you don’t see disability as a thing that can happen to you.

We are “aww those poor people”. Meanwhile disability can happen to anyone at any moment and those injustices you ignored? They become your experiences too

This is so definitely where shit is headed with those people and I hate it so deeply
It’s a way of them controlling what is and isn’t crime .

Imagine an Optimus powered by Grok that tells you killing the homeless isn’t a crime .

Or an Optimus with tiered membership where the person with the most expensive subscription is automatically granted preference
in a long life filled with saying stupid shit this is may be the stupidest shit he's ever said

This.

Dems have the same data we do, which shows the majority of queer people are living paycheck-to-paycheck—like everybody else—but they perpetuate the idea that if you’re queer or a woman, you are necessarily bourgeoisie lmfao

That shit isn’t coming from communists, it’s coming from liberals 🫠
yeah i was gonna say

plus there's this bizarre conceit that trans people largely own factories or something

This, but also be brave, the people demand a hot black femme.
Opening scene: funeral for James Bond.

Hunky man is attending. Afterwards he walks to his car but stops to receive a text: You’re activated. Report to HQ.

Hunky man walks to a sleek little Aston-Martin and then drives off as the opening credits begin.

(This isn’t rocket surgery, Hollywood.)
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:

“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."

The identity of Sarah Kendzior, researcher on authoritarian states, and Sarah Kendzior's content discussing authoritarian states are...not really easy to separate.

So I'm struggling to see this as a response.
False attribution. If a person is suspended it is because of their identity? Could it not be because of their content? I wrote about it here aaron.leaflet.pub/3m52nqqmk322v
