And to dye my hair--usually a blue that I called "comic-book blue-black."
The pandemic isn't over. But I have retired & I am moving on to other colors.

OTD 25 years ago, I taught my 1st class here--U.S. History II.
Today, I start my last semester--w/ the same class!
Love the symmetry.
It's also Women's Equality Day & I end the thread with t-shirts in suffrage colors.

53. Embrace of its urban identity.
I know memory is fallible, but as I recall, when I got here, it was described as a "comprehensive urban university."
It's something else now, but I enjoy seeing an urban skyline on so many shirts recently.

50. History in t-shirts.
Years of history. Years of stories. Years of urban legends (in all meanings of that phrase). Years of myths. I have been able to include only the tip of the iceberg.

49. The Tree Wardens of the Campus.
That's not their actual title--but the folks who protect the trees, work to get more of them, etc.
Enough work for us to be a Tree Campus.

The the events of 1973-75 must have caused consternation to those who gave a name to a school that could be abbreviated as SLA. I assume that's why always used the longer "Liberal Arts."

I remember when IFC voted for domestic partner benefits the deciding case was made by (straight) economists who bored everyone to death with the economic reasons for them.

Till it's gone"?!
