Yeah why can’t he be original like “nature boy” buddy roger….umm I mean Ric Flair, or crow Sting, and come up with original moves like Bret did with the scorpion death loc… I mean the sharpshooter. People take moves and gimmicks from everyone. I swear no one hates wrestling more that wrestling fans

I’m not debating “facts” I’m debating opinions of apparently a sensitive fanboy. Someone starts off at a 52000 stadium and have to down grade cause of so little interest and they still have to give away ticket while screwing over fans who originally bought overpriced tickets.

You would also have to take into account they operated at at loss since the start as well. You guys act like be saying they don’t care about business is a giant insult. He a billionaire’s son he has the money to blow. If he’s fine with the size of the audience now. He can stand to lose some money

You act like someone criticizing AEW means they a WWE mark. I watched AEW from the beginning and gave it a real try cause I want more good wrestling. Over time the booking, start stop story lines and just random people disappearing caused me and apparently a lot of others to lose interest.

They are giving tickets away and doing 2 for 1’s. Of course they’re gonna move some ticket. 12000 is still far off from 52000 seat stadium they originally booked. I’m not a WWE diehard but by your ratings logic dynamite is a train wreck cause they’ve lost more than 50% viewership since their debut.

Good for them as far as a rights deal I know they wanted more but they got a good deal for them. Out lasting nitro isn’t a big thing. If that’s the case TNA is doing amazing. WCW if you don’t include the Crockett year was a 13 year run. I hope they out last them and bounce back soon.

You said they were profitable. We don’t have proof they are. TK has tons of reasons to lie about it. They had to move the Australia show due to poor ticket sales and fans that paid crazy money for their ticket got moved worse seats. It’s a trainwreck. They didn’t handle it properly.
February 9, 2025 at 11:01 PM
Again show me how they are profitable. And I’m not talking about what Punk said. They book NBA arenas when they could book smaller places fill them and look better on tv, the Australia show, the video game ect

We won’t know the full numbers cause they are private. I’m saying we don’t know. “Widely reported”by wrestling websites isn’t facts just like 2nd most successful promotion. What is that based on?
February 9, 2025 at 4:16 PM
And again they don’t have to cause TK has deep pockets but it shows they don’t care about the business it’s about him having his hobby. I don’t want them to fail but I’m not gonna say they’re doing great. I want they to be successful. I hope it’s just growing pains for them and not Herb Abrams 2.0

How is the company profitable? They make 185 million per year from the new deal. The last estimates of operating costs were 188 million in 2023. These numbers are probably off but not by a ton. They have been operating at a loss since they began. They could cut a bunch of money but they don’t.
February 9, 2025 at 3:56 PM
Some get told one thing with Aew and got another. Cody and Punk both thought it was about growing a business and it’s not. TK has the means to put his hobby on TV and keep a small dedicated audience. It’s weird people are acting like a guy who has ran a business less that 6 years is infallible.
February 9, 2025 at 3:24 PM
I just said punk’s side lined up more that AEW’s. He wasn’t a good fit there. He’s business minded and that’s not the goal of the company. We don’t know if AEW profitable they’re private and don’t release financials it doesn’t matter TK has the money to burn.
February 9, 2025 at 3:24 PM
It was a pull apart. TK made it out like it was a huge fight which it wasn’t. Punk wasn’t gonna last long there anyway cause he thought he was there to do business and make money and that’s not been the plan for AEW from the start. It’s TK’s personal project.
February 9, 2025 at 2:43 PM
So the video AEW released on their show was fake to intentionally make themselves look bad? WTF? Punk walked over told him to fuck off and left. I’m sure that the most aggressive anyone has ever been with Kahn in his life cause he’s rich kid. Kahn thought people would be on his side and they weren’t
February 9, 2025 at 11:30 AM
That tape didn’t have the reaction AEW wanted. What they showed lined up with the story Punk told more than this giant brawl were Tony Kahn had to fear for his life that he said. I really think that was the turn where things took a down turn for them
February 9, 2025 at 2:34 AM
I don’t know if he actually believes his statement or if he is trying to do “damage control” for the red hat crowd and honestly I’m not sure which one’s worse.

It’s so great! Everyone at the same time was like you’re banning TikTok? fine. Nǐ hǎo motherfuckers!!!
