Appalling racism, obviously, but to accuse Afghanistan of being a failed state when it’s been colonized, assaulted by the USSR, and under siege by the U.S. for the last almost hundred years is pretty rich.

This is all about as dumb as CCS (carbon capture & storage). Why is Carney racing down every possible energy & climate dead end? Who is advising him? The rest of the world must wonder what the hell is going on - but we're dinosaurs in Canada so perhaps it's not surprising

I am a little tired of being yelled at for this but apparently not tired about: heroin addiction is not RFK’s problem. He’s a sociopath. Most addicts aren’t. Honestly, walk into an NA meeting, grab the first person with a few years to be head of HHS and they’d probably do a better job than Bobby.

It's weird to not only have lived through an information revolution but also now living through its undoing, all within less than a generation.
Google at its peak was basically the best information retrieval system in human history and they and every competitor decided going from there to “you didn’t want answers you wanted half-assed auto-complete 80%-wrong hallucinations” in a few years was the right idea
