The Octopath speedruning community was nice enough to write great beginner friendly notes and I, an alpha gamer, proceeded to not read them and yolod the final boss fight, causing me to have to redo the fight 3 times. Shoutout to communities that take the time to prepare guides, yall the best ❤️

The sub 3 hour marathon is a HUGE feather in a runner’s cap and something I’ve been working hard to achieve for about a year and a half now. This weekend was finally when I broke the hour barrier and got my first sub 3 hour run with a new marathon PB of 2:58. Still in disbelief and so proud 🥲

In this week’s edition of ridiculous running shoes, we have Thai brand Ving with carbon plated sandals for marathons. Barnabas Kiplimo ran an 2:18 marathon while sporting these bad boys. Don’t let anyone tell you that wearing crocs for your next marathon is a bad idea 😉

In this week’s edition of “is it a running shoe or a rocket?” We have this abomination from Puma. I’m not 100% sure how a foot is supposed to fit in these but oh well. I believe they were going for a trampoline in the forefoot. Also don’t buy from puma (free Palestine)

I just want to take the opportunity to say that Alito’s neighbors absolutely fucking hate the guy. Back when roe was overturned, there were protests at justices houses and usually they’re met with some backlash from neighbors but for alito’s house the neighbors were cheering the protestors lmao

This most recent marathon build ended with a 3 hour 6 minute marathon and should be good enough to qualify for my first world major marathon. Last marathon for at least a year which means more time for speedruns and completing my casual game backlog!
