if you're one person making a comic by yourself, don't treat yourself like you should function on the same level as comics that have multiple people working on them. your backgrounds can be squiggles and colors.

tl;dr: Only CEOs want this. Tell them how much you hate it. Be loud, email, call, @, post. You will kill this.

Can you imagine? That back in the 16th century, people willingly commissioned artists for pieces? Art WAS a JOB. Crazy that it's so upside down now. That people are bending over backwards to avoid paying artists for ANYTHING. And that asking to be paid for it is looked on as bougie?? Like...HOW?
