I usually take my iPad with me to the one con near enough to me to go. I don't like to carry things on me that I can't easily put in and out of my purse because it gets too bulky and I get paranoid something will happen. I think it only makes sense for panelists to have laptops.

Mm, especially if it's someone you disagree with a lot. I like having people I can peacefully disagree with, but a lot of friendships of mine ended because of things that felt like they never needed to be a debate.

God that is the worst. I still remember the one guy who, when I pointed out most people either she/her or they/them me by default and I wish more people called me different things, continued to almost exclusively they/them me. Like bro What did I just say. WHAT DID I JUST SAY.
