Wait, I thought “labubu” was a cutesy term for a lobotomy…

“The infrastructure for digital authoritarianism is being built right now, and Palantir is playing a central role.”

Also, I have 0 empathy for anyone who electively worked for Peter f-ing Thiel.
Palantir employees spill the tea.

Thirteen former Palantir staffers signed a letter urging the company to cut ties with the Trump administration.

Wow. This is major news. Judges discuss moving the U.S. marshals from the executive to the judicial branch. Not only would they protect judges from trump threats, but it would also make it easier for courts to order marshals to carry out court orders.
“Judges Weigh Taking Control of Their Own Security Amid Threats” — because the Marshals answer to Trump, per this extraordinary scoop from @WSJ.com www.wsj.com/us-news/law/...

Start every day with this reality:

EVERY HOUSE SEAT and 33 Senate seats are up for election in 2026. THAT must be the focus. Let’s get disciplined.

Just a heads up for all the people still living in the delusion that the election in 2028 is going to be free and fair… trump and the Republicans are setting up a system that will put them in power until they are removed from power by force. No amount of disbelief on your part stops that reality.
President Trump did not rule out the possibility of seeking a third term in the White House, which is prohibited by the Constitution under the 22nd Amendment, saying in an exclusive interview with NBC News that there were methods for doing so and clarifying that he was “not joking.”
Trump won’t rule out seeking a third term in the White House, tells NBC News ‘there are methods’ for doing so
President Donald Trump said in a Sunday-morning phone call that he was “not joking” about a third term, adding that “it is far too early to think about it.”

Sharing this as a reminder to myself to read later. But, yea, it’s the working class vs. the ultra rich and the unreliable institutions that have mostly just dangled carrots. Let’s not forget that.
The wealthy have intentionally destroyed class consciousness so that they can exploit the vast majority of people.

If we’re going to fight back and ultimately win this class war, it’s time we got familiar with how our politics actually work.

I know I’m new around here, but my gut tells me to take this advice:
Yet another plea to people who are using or following people off follow-farming hashtags like #NoDemUnder1K, #NoDemUnder5K, #BlueCrew, #FBR, etc etc: please do not do that, it's how disinformation operations work. I'm already seeing accounts in those hashtags that are likely disinformation ops. 1/

There are no guardrails. The institutions aren’t going to save you. Revealing who these people are doesn’t matter. And here’s why: for all of the handwringing over norms or decency, this is about power. Full stop.

It’s time to leave these notions behind and get serious.

It's impossible to maintain a constant hypervigilance across the entire spectrum of threats.

Hypervigilance will exhaust you and make you sick.

Solidarity and real community helps.

Be intentional with how you communicate with friends about breaking news. Don't be afraid to make requests.

I was just listening to NPR and one of the topics was how Gen Z is “moving to the right”. They had people calling in pontificating as to why that might be with two young Republicans also there for commentary. In my mind, I am screaming. Gen Z is not moving to the right.
