Media from all over came to the Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office Friday and learned that Gene Hackman died of complications of severe heart disease and Alzheimer’s disease while his wife, Betsy Arakawa, died of hantavirus.

The 2nd Judicial District Attorney's Office is teaming up with New Mexico and Bernalillo County law enforcement to help tackle drug and violent crimes in the International District in Albuquerque.

This includes parts of Route 66.

A couple of hundred people came out for Saturday's memorial ride honoring bicycle safety advocate, Chuck Malagodi.

Malagodi was killed in a hit-and-run while riding his bicycle last Sunday.

U.S. Navy Seaman 2nd Class John Auld was killed on the USS Oklahoma on Dec. 7, 1941.

On Friday morning, his remains were laid to rest at Fairview Memorial Park in Albuquerque.

"It's the end to a long chapter," Auld's nephew, Richard Auld, said.
