It was around then we got the last gasp with Epic's "Heavy Hitters" which did not hit heavily at all; most appeared to be greenlit for the sake of having a line. And then, that was that.

Some of the first (company-owned) titles were but the imprint itself -- and bringing the creator-owned side -- was a few years later, '93 or so. Epic still existed but was in such a state of neglect it was fair that most people thought it was already gone.
