Writes about prose-y books and picture-y books. Might actually be one of those Arcimboldo things where it's just a pile of fresh produce arranged like a face.
Your very own marvel bullpen nickname!

That's because they're sore losers about not getting their own Riverbrook Lake Farm Heritage Turkey--fresh killed, never frozen, raised in the best conditions!!
bob 's burgers is a cartoon about a man holding a bag of turkey in a grocery store .
Alt: A mustachioed man triumphantly holds up a plucked turkey in the grocery store. "You are the one!"

It and Knives Out come the closest of any modern films come to the pleasure of the Thin Man films

I thought for a minute you meant you were going to leave your mortal flesh and become a golem

Guy at the library was complaining about how much of his taxes goes to us that he doesn't use. I ask him how much.
"$300 a year!"
"Okay, so with the library millage that would mean you own a $3 million dollar home, and you're complaining because we don't have a shop vac you can borrow for free."

Also cuz no cliche dialogue or motivation.
You're never going to get an artificial sun from the 853rd century droning on about how he and Superman are not so different. Surtur is never going to let himself get caught because he's counting on Thor following standard procedures.

And I know why; it's because as a teen I watched the Fifth Element on HBO like 40 times, and who's the big bad?

--she quits the police and becomes a social worker, no less!

The other 2 are Office Basilisk in Questionable Content who quits the force when she realizes how corrupt and abusive the police are, and Sir Samuel Vimes, Commander of the City Watch of Ankh-Morpork
November 3, 2025 at 8:41 PM
This touched on why I think Barney Miller is one of 3 instances of police in fiction not being copaganda; it's almost exclusively tedious paperwork over minor crimes and grievances, & Barney canonically disagrees with and goes against standard policy and orders, even being reprimanded & suspended

Less "Highway to the Danger Zone" and more "Service Drive to the Maintenance Hangar"

Agreed; a lot of people only think of the military as active combat duty but a lot of people are in jobs ranging from accounting to groundskeeping to counseling in the armed services because of the pay and benefits.

Wallace Shawn contains so many multitudes, it's honestly amazing.

You're absolutely right! I worked on my novel in seclusion for like 3-4 years before I showed it to a friend who also writes-- mainly because I was worried I was in a Joe Gould/Henry Darger situation-- and their support has made the process so much easier and also more enjoyable!
