Ironically, Miami took Notre Dame off the schedule last year and didn’t make it for the same reason they may not this year, losing to bad teams.
And for some reason the logic is removing the ND win and keeping the rest of the results puts them in. Confusing.

It only matters if ND makes it in and Miami does not. Both teams made their beds if they miss it. But there’s no case for putting ND in over Miami at this point. If they do that, no school should schedule ND going forward; it’s clearly not worth the risk and just helps ND with a “quality loss”

Why play the games if head to head isn’t going to matter?
Chris, in all of the examples you listed, Notre Dame is ahead of Miami.

I think we need to give some space to the idea Narduzzi watched ND’s tape, walked straight to the first microphone he could find and said “look, this game doesn’t even matter.” Especially in light of today’s Syracuse result.
I absolutely cannot fucking believe that Pat Narduzzi was legit playing 3D chess with not caring about the Notre Dame game. I am beside myself at this. The man was 26 moves ahead the whole time
