Hello! Had a break from social media and during this was lucky enough to cross the Venice Carnival off my bucket list. Venice has long been one of my favourite destinations but this was a first and what an amazing experience. How is everyone and what have I missed?! 👋🎭🇮🇹 #venice #bucketlist

Storm Isha sent my neighbour a gift! Thankfully it just hugged the greenhouse as opposed to smashing it, but was quite a shock to see when I went out early to feed the birds! Back with the rightful owners now and hopefully well tied down. Hope everyone affected is ok! 🌱

I was uphill in Lincoln last night to visit Lincoln Illuminated at the castle. It really was magical and left me feeling thoroughly Christmassy! Here’s a few photos 💜🥰 #lincoln

New visitor to the garden. I was out in the garden with my camera, when about six of these beautiful long-tailed tits flew in and spent a while feasting. Had to hold in a squee and remain calm to get decent pics! The sweetest little birds and absolutely welcome to return whenever they like 🪶

Hi Bluesky friends, how the devil are you? Been a mad week or so for me so no time for the people in my phone. Here’s a photo of my rascally Cyril the Squirrel who visits the garden every day, has his fill of 🥜 and then takes off again without even a thankya! A cute terror if you will. ☺️

Woke up to snow this morning, wasn’t expecting it. The birds in the trees were rather bemused by the feeding table too! Beautiful for photos, but all now cleared and they are eating happily 🪶

It’s a really hard frost out there, but oh my the Erysium (Bowles Mauve) is a hardy one! Three years old now so not sure if this is its last year, but it starts flowering back in the spring and just keeps on going like the Duracell bunny! Have a Good Friday ☺️🌱

Yes, it’s another Cosmos Appreciation Post! It’s a cold and frosty morning, almost December, BUT… I still have cosmos! I sowed these from seed in April. Talk about value for money and enjoyment, let alone all the goodness they have given to all the pollinators that are now sleeping. What a flower! 🌱

Yes, it’s another Cosmos Appreciation Post! It’s a cold and frosty morning, almost December, BUT… I still have cosmos! I sowed these from seed in April. Talk about value for money and enjoyment, let alone all the goodness they have given to all the pollinators that are now sleeping. What a flower! 🌱
Tuesday and the weather is very uninspiring. Birds are getting hungrier, and after a walk this morning, I see that a few Christmas decorations are already going up in front rooms! Better start making my lists.

Yes, bump it up that list! Slovenia is charming and so very beautiful. I stayed at Kranjska Gora for Christmas. I could have cried with joy every day I was there! This was the room from the hotel room. 🩷🩷
