Obligatory programme-in-front-of-stage shot (don’t worry, that bank of seats is now filling up nicely) #LittleShopOfHorrors

★★ for Higher Ups, Old Red Lion: “in creating a business environment that is so distorted and unbelievable… any possibility of satirising appalling workplace behaviour disappears completely.“

Catching up again with THE FALL GUY (currently on Sky Cinema), which I loved at the cinema and which holds up really well on repeated viewings. The kind of romantic action comedy thriller that we’re repeatedly told Hollywood doesn’t make any more, single-handedly showing why it should never stop.

I was going to do shit today, but #BlackDoves on @netflixuk.bsky.social had other ideas. Compelling, bloody (and bloody genius) spy capers from the pen of @joebarton.bsky.social, who continues to write compelling gay characters better than some gay writers

Watching INTERIOR CHINATOWN, a postmodern crime comedy-drama where the background character in a police procedural decides he wants to be a main character. Deconstructions of genre tropes sit alongside quirky family dynamics and a critique of representation. Great fun (10 eps, Disney+)

This is the shot, pushing _through_ the mirror (I know how it’s done but even then it’s still impressive)

Lots of reasons to hate the Daily Mail, of course, but “thinks that 25-year-old West End musical is an adaptation of a film, rather than the other way around,” is a new one.
