I'm going to keep saying this in my effort to speak it into reality: Supreme Court should have at least 100 Justices with rotating panels (and maybe an en banc option). No single Justice should have so much power and they shouldn't be names everyone knows.
A court with a normal-ish conservative majority would have been tolerable. I'm not eager for court packing, impeaching justices, and other such options. But this court sticking around post-Trump is untenable. They've already torched their own legitimacy, the only question is what do we do about it.
Democrats need to lay the groundwork for reform by attacking the villains on the Supreme Court - loudly, angrily, personally, relentlessly. And they should start now.

Told my coworker we have her covered so she doesn't have to make a dessert for someone's birthday this year because she's on maternity leave on her sign up date...
Her: Well now I feel bad because I didn't contribute to a birthday this year.
Me: Technically you did, and that's why you get a pass.

This man may be the most racist president this country has ever had, and twelve presidents owned slaves
Trump: "It’s a hellhole right now. And those Somalians should be out of here. They've destroyed our country. And all they do is complain, complain, complain. You have her. She’s always talking about the Constitution provides me with – go back to your own country and figure out your constitution."

So wait. Will their theory be (1) this time prosecutors other than Halligan will present to the grand jury so it’s different, or (2) now we’ve done some sort of double secret blessing of Halligan’s position so it’s different, or (3) fuck the law?
Breaking on MS NOW: The Trump Justice Department is considering seeking another indictment of James Comey this week in the Eastern District of Virginia. It might be going before a grand jury today.

This would be in lieu of appealing the ruling from last week dismissing the case against Comey.

Was compelled to recreate this in The Sims. Had to do some minor tweaking with the layout as you can't do half tile walls. Also was generous with my interpretation of the "front entrance". So far I have the general layout done and it's apparent that there are too many doors and enough windows.

Look, I will be the first in line to criticize my home state. But there is a flavor of Hoosier Republican that is sensible. Maybe a hidden cache of independents that don't get the attention of our more red and blue areas. Maybe a small town connection to actual constituents. Not sure.
This is getting REALLY interesting…

Being around 5 little boy cousins between the ages of like, 3-7...this year I'm thankful to be childless. Thanks universe, appreciate that.

Plus talking to their moms and them being very obviously jealous of my hobbies and such. Blessed.

I don't have a spotter so I'm a coward that uses the smith machine for my squats and probably has a higher max range than I'm currently lifting. I did experiment today by trying out 140. It went up without too many problems, but I also know that getting 90#s up and down more than 6 times is brutal.

Wish me luck, today I'm going to finally figure out my Thanksgiving plans which will include telling my mom that I'm not attending my uncle's 80th Tues, I will be away from my bed a maximum of two sleeps and at least one of those is going to be spent with my best friend's family.

Boundaries.

Ya'll are crashing out so hard over journalists that I had to find out MTG was retiring from Congress on FB.

So what do we think that is? Angling for 2028 as an independent? Getting out of Congress before she's in the minority again?

I try to keep my heart and mind in the right place whenever I get frustrated by my husband's ADHD (and he does the same for me).

It's hard when I walk by the expensive, non-functional espresso machine, abandoned because that was two hobbies ago and now he drinks mostly mushroom coffee.

i would bet a substantial sum of money that trump doesn’t even know a layman’s definition of sedition, let alone the actual legal definition. he’s an old man with diminishing impulse control perceiving (correctly) that his grip on both republicans in congress and power are slipping.
