I don't know if anyone else is like this, but whenever I consume some media that I really enjoy-- a book, a game, series, whatever-- I am reluctant, or in some cases I simply cannot, move on to another thing because I am not ready to stop thinking about what I just enjoyed.

being able to see so much art lovingly made by hand, endlessly, daily, has got to be one of the biggest boons of the digital age and one we take for granted. think of all the accumulated labor, love, hardship, etc. we are treated to in the form of illustration, writing, craft. for free, always.

don't know how to word it politely in hopes that no one will grossly misinterpret my words but ; i feel genuine pain for the artists i like that are stuck with fanbases/audiences/fandoms that are misaligned with their goals or understanding of art-

My bad video game habit is playing the first hour or so of something until I get past all the tutorials, deciding I'm not in the mood to play it right now and setting it aside, then coming back months later and not remembering anything I learned in the tutorials but being too stubborn to replay them

if you made art this year, you did well. a sketch, even if it was scrapped ; a poem, even if it was deleted — mattered. you put thought to paper, you engaged with the creative alchemy of turning feeling to something tangible. doesn't matter if you weren't productive "enough." or good "enough."

ppl need to stop getting so angry about how female protagonists in games look.
u don't hear anyone complaining about how the male char models look.
just play the game and have fun oh and realize these are fictional characters and even if they were real , they still wouldn't date you.
