In a few conversations, I've run into people throwing out "how is procedurally-generated game content any different from AI-generated stuff??"

I have an answer:
Designing Procedural generation algorithms requires an extremely advanced and well-honed understanding of the content and WHY it works.

Transcribed Text: Feline_Tales My cats have this meow that means “please come with me to fix this” after which they’ll lead me to the problem in question, usually a empty (or ‘empty’) food bowl or a closed door they want open. They look at the ‘problem’, they look back at me, clear message. What fascinates me is how this illustrates what they percieve as being in the realm of my ‘power.’ I control the food, I control the door, sure, but my cats love to sit on the balcony in the sun, and it has happened plenty of times that on a rainy day they come get me, go to the balcony and show me... the rain. “Please fix this” they say. “Please get rid of the wet” “Silly kitty,” I say, “I can’t control the rain.” I then walk into the shower and turn on the rain. purrfect_logic I hope this is a universal cat owner experience. Every single night he begs me to turn the sun back on so he can watch birds on the balcony. I tell him no, I cannot do that. But I can turn lights on and off in the house and he’s fairly certain I’m just not applying myself properly here.

Every photo I take is done practically with very little digital work, using household items to create special effects like cotton wool for fire & foil for water. Each set is meticulously set up for just the one scene then dismantled so I can set up another scene.

Thanks for helping me keep going.

Anyone have recommendations for earplugs to sleep with?
@galdracori.bsky.social is looking for some you can use indefinitely, and which block out all noise and which you don't feel while sleeping on the side.
"Loop" earplugs don't seem to be enough.

This is not because AI is generally useless. It is a tool that has to be carefully tested for possible uses and implemented in ways that create a net benefit. Like all tools. This is not happening.
So it may point to the possibility that a lot of business decision makers are useless.
