Only get the stuff with backing. Cut the backing. Vacuum. Use it in simple parts like the wings or large strips over small details. If you need to use a sewing machine loom at different needles like a ball point needle.

If your in the US your not getting it anyways. You had to be outside the store at opening. Went an hour after for break, all gone.

Family is important. Acting on emotion is acceptable as long as it's not rash or illogical. If the maker cancels, then they broke the contract. Would ask for a full refund on the masterpiece since it was no fault to the commissioner. A delay is different and cool.

Plush maker to plush maker. I agree with this sentiment wires aren't the best. They might poke through the fabric, snap from continuous bending, or not hold the weight of this plush.
There is definitely two trains of people I see. "I want this for display" and "I want to sleep with this".

Had something similar happen when making the 21 ft Milotic. Bobbin being old or getting caught on the housing was most likely. Wouldn't be suprised if that was the case. 🤔

Are you using the exact bobbin type your embroidery machine specifies?
Is your winder set correctly so it stops before overwinding?
Inspect the bobbin case for burrs or scratches that might have caught it.

What is the "opportunity cost"? Consider time, stress, money, wear equipment/physical, supplies. Then where you could put that energy to your benefit.
