I am at least one million internet years old. Lefty leftist. Art, math, preferably both at once. Always knitting, usually socks. Western Canadian in Ottawa. I don't know how everyone else sounds interesting in these things. She/they.
At my cousin's tonight, and her excellent void Luna has blessed me with a batch of air biscuits.

I did it, lovelies. I fly out to Edmonton in under 24 hours and have a squillion ends to work in on my return, but it's finished. The flare at the end of the sleeves is ridiculous, but that's what I was wanting. Considering the sleeves are entirely off-piste, I'm happy with what I managed.

here it (nearly) is, lovelies. centre pinwheel to outer finished edge. if I was following the pattern exactly, all that would be left to do is weaving in ends and blocking.

chugga chugga. the starting pinwheel is just out of shot at the bottom centre. there are 3000ish more stitches to go in the dark green, about 4000ish in each of seafoam and ecru/white, then a narrow edge trim.

This pinwheel here took three days and about twenty tries. It was still not perfect, but it is close enough that I am content.

Still wish I could've found some blues that worked, but I'm okay with a queerish mermaid-y spectrum, too.

allo, lovelies. D. and I are currently here, sipping wine and pretending we're first-class sorts. (I splurged on business class seats.) soon we will have chicken souvlaki with 'seasonal Canadian cake' for dessert, whatever that is.

Pictures from Point Pelee National Park, which is the southernmost contiguous point in Canada, and apparently at the same latitude as Barcelona and Rome. (1/3)

It's been great weather so far. We went from Guelph to Windsor today, with stops for spaetzle with mushroom gravy, many cheeses, even more cheeses, and corn.

Because we are serious, so very serious, people.

As previously referenced, good sir. I didn't take any shots of the living space within, more's the pity. I was in one of my technoziggurat phases and can only apologize if the choice of materials offends the purists.

D., magnificent beast that he is, got this for me for Christmas -- which is to say I found it, and could not imagine anything thrilling me more, and so I told him, 'this is what you are getting me for Christmas.'

Look at it. Seriously, just bask in it. It's glorious.

Living the life. Kinda want the sound of the particle accelerator warming up as background music.

D. and I have picked up Minecraft again. I was afk making a snack, and came back to him having left me a message in nixie tubes.

Just sayin', a few heartbubbles might've come out.

Even odds this image ends up enormous or the size of a postage stamp.

In case it works right, I wish to share my mom's recipe for bran muffins, in all its very-well-worn glory. It contains both tester's notes (V.V.G!) and its provenance (my great-great-aunt Gladys).
