Another favourite of mine. Gerry Mulligan was key in the development of cool jazz in the 1940s, collaborating with artists like Miles Davis and Chet Baker. I think his contribution to jazz is often underrated.

Another favourite. Frank Sinatra and Count Basie in the Copa Room at The Sands Hotel in Vegas in 1966. Sinatra was at top of his game and the Count is swinging. Quincy Jones conducting. I wish I had been there!

A favourite of mine. One of the world’s greatest living trumpeters and one of world’s greatest blues guitarists came together for a magical performance at the Lincoln Centre in 2011. It never fails to lift my spirits.
