It’s interesting how Facebook is full of utter garbage like posts claiming Trump admin members are giving SUVs to janitors or Elon is an angel sent from the heavens but there’s no counter-programming BS from the left. Pretty sure all this garbage is coming from xAI.

Cuts to NSF expected to be at 50% reduction in force for an independent agency that fuels discovery and innovation.

"The NSF budget was $9B, or 0.13% of the total [budget]."

This is not about fiscal prudence. This is about killing universities.

Giving access to SSNs, other data on government employees to non-employees like Musk is a violation of 5 USC 552a, and carries with it a penalty of $1000 per person whose data was accessed. We are building a case. Govt employees who want to participate should contact me directly

A mistake the techno fascist billionaires are making is thinking people will want to live in their corporate dictatorships. There will be a massive brain drain and no-will want to prop them up. It’s the wet dream of man-boys with no clue how good they have it now

One of my party facts is that according to polls, Americans believe foreign aid is about 25% of the federal budget and on average that it *should* be about 10%.

The actual number is less than 1%.

Foreign aid has long been a boogey man of the right, so it's not surprising they're vilifying it now.

The way that Trump's transparently dishonest "moderation" on Project 2025 and abortion was treated with "brilliant gambit, sir!" rather than "he's a flip-flopper and liar, uh look at his actual record as president" is a vintage example of the media being wired for Republicans
This is totally amazing when you remember that Trump didn't even know anything about Project 2025
Everyone was warned about this, and it’s happening just as we feared.

David Lynch gave us the language we needed to better articulate the indescribable strangeness of our shared reality. “Lynchian” is so overused because it’s a viscerally understandable word without any known synonyms. I can’t imagine a more beautiful artistic legacy than that.

One small thing you can do when responding to concerns like these from a friend or family member is be explicit with them that their information sources misled them intentionally—that they’re untrustworthy and their efforts to mislead people are contemptible.
